Crackdown 3 won’t let you play competitive multiplayer with your mates at launch

Microsoft has confirmed that Crackdown 3’s competitive multiplayer offering will not be playable with friends at launch.

The news comes in light of technical tests for the competitive mode, known as Wrecking Zone, where participants clocked that they were unable to invite their mates into the fray.

Speaking with Eurogamer, Microsoft revealed that the feature will instead arrive post-launch.

‘Players will soon be able to take full advantage of the Xbox platform’s Party features so they can experience the fully destructible environments in Crackdown 3 Wrecking Zone with friends.’

‘We are always looking for ways to improve our fans’ experience, and party functionality will be enabled with an upcoming title update along with our soon to be announced post-launch content.’

Crackdown 3 will arrive for Xbox One on February 15, and Terry Crews himself has called the game a Terry Crews simulator. I’m guessing that’s a good thing?
